Eccentric Focus

Eccentric Focus

Eccentric Focus is brought to you by host, Shane Nitram. Not only is Eccentric Focus the name of his show, but also his DJ alias. The show has become an extension of his own identity, as he strives to represent inclusivity and diversity through his message and song choices. Every Thursday at 10 PM he takes you into his world of electronic music, highlighting some of his favorite producers from all around the globe, guest hosting with local Nashville DJs, and crafting live mixes.

Shane fell in love with electronic music at a young age, citing Moby’s album Play as one of his early favorites. Growing up in a small town, house raves and car rides were the places where he consumed most of his music. Some of his earliest influences include Daft Punk, Justice, and Ratatat. He first began DJing in high school with old rave vinyl from the dollar section. He then became a radio DJ in Tallahassee, Florida for V89 89.7FM, while also hosting FSU shows. He quickly fell in love with it, and has continued his passion no matter where he finds himself. After working in radio for nearly a decade now, his journey has brought him now to Nashville, right here at Acme Radio Live.

A frequent topic of discussion on Eccentric Focus is the Nashville EDM scene. While it is certainly not the most popular genre in this country, rock, and indie focused city, the Nashville EDM community is growing with the help of people like Shane. Nearly every Thursday night, he invites local talent to join him on air for live mixes and interviews, providing a platform for electronic DJs and artists to gain exposure. Tune in every Thursday at 10 PM to listen to Eccentric Focus and explore the world of EDM.
